Our Story

Having been born and raised above the current Fish & Chip shop, it is no real surprise that I have found myself continuing a family love affair with fish and chips which dates all the way back to 1949.

I am a second generation Fish fryer, I am proud of the local area and its rich history, I am proud of the history and tradition of our fish and chip shop and I am proud of the quality of fish & chips that we have served here at Lloyds for over 70 years.

Lloyds is now unrecognisable from the fish & chip shop my father first opened all those years ago but we have retained his ethos of sourcing the quality ingredients and frying to order so that our fish and chips is as fresh as possible when it hits the plate.

I hope people of Lampeter and the surrounding area will continue to enjoy our fish & chips as much as they have done over the past 70 years and that they take as much pleasure as my family and I have done in serving them.
